What do I have to know about handling images?
Nothing. webCreator has a simple and powerful image tool. You can easily handle even large image files, resize and rotate your images on your computer before uploading them. The uploading will then be fast and easy.
Can I have sub-sites on my domain?
Yes. There is no limit on the number of subsites. You can also have different designs on them.
I must be able to write texts in languages that do not use the Latin alphabet. Is it possible?
Yes. With webCreator you can use any alphabet. Here is an example of such a web site.
Is it difficult to make contact or booking forms?
No. webCreator have an easily learned form generator tool.
Do I have to know HTML to use the tool?
No. We have an efficient so called WYSIWYG editor (What You See Is What You Get), where you easily can maintain your pages in a Word-like tool.
Can I work directly in HTML mode if I would like to?
Yes. The WYSIWYG editor has a HTML mode.
Do I have to install any program on my computer?
No. Any administration is done through the tool, which is online. You can use it whereever you have Internet access. If you want to use all features in our image upload function, though, you will need to have Flash 10+ installed.
I know nothing about how to design, coding templates, or other technical stuff. I just want to have my website up and running quickly and easily. Can you help me?
We have several partners that can help you with this.
I have an old browser on my computer. Does it work then?
Probably not. We have tested the tool for the following browsers: Internet Explorer 7 or 8 for PC, Firefox from 3.5 to 9.0 for PC or Mac. The browsers we recommend today for best performance is Firefox 9.0.
It works probably in many other browsers too, but that is nothing we can guarantee. Do you have an old browser, we recommend that you update to a newer one in any case to have the best safety, and best user experience when browsing the Internet.
What do I need to be able to use webCreator?
You will need a computer with internet connection, one of the above browsers, javascript active and the screen resolution should be at least 1024x768. You will also need Flash 10+ to use the advanced image upload features.
I want my editors just to be able to update the news pages, is that possible?
Absolutely. You can set permissions for an administrator down to individual pages.
I want a login-protected page. Is that possible?
Yep. You can build a separate section (sub-site) that you can password protect and then give access to any number of people.
What happens to my pages if you are closing down?
Nothing happens, your pages will remain live. It is you as a customer who has the contract with the web hotel, even if it is we who administer it for you during the contract period. The tool is also installed on your server and will continue to operate during the contract period. Then you can continue working with your files "manually" via, for example, Dreamweaver, or convert them to another tool.
But rest assured - we have no plans to close down :)
How good is WebCreator on search engine optimization?
We have many smart features that help you with this. Search engine optimization is also not only technology but also knowledge about how to work with content, and we also have partners that can help educate you in this.
Do I have to keep track of security updates and similar myself?
No, we do everything behind the scenes, you can focus completely on managing the content on your site.
What do I do if I get stuck and can't go on?
You send an email to our support, who will respond as soon as possible.
What do I have to do if I want my visitors to be able to surf on my pages with a smartphone?
webCreator is prepared for this. The tool generates all code needed to, with a special CSS-technique, decide exactly how the page should look on a smartphone or Ipad. Our standard templates are already prepared for this, and if you have your own style sheet today, we can help you to adjust it.
